Zen Maker Club – Animation – After School Program – Sherwood Park
April 6 @ 3:00 pm - June 1 @ 4:30 pm
A great introduction to the digital arts component of STEAM. From traditional pencil and paper to computer animation, participants will learn its fundamentals concepts: movement, squash and stretch, staging, frames per second and among others. Also, learning technics like stop motion and claymation will help students to create their own stories and characters, a very important skill in storytelling. By the end of the 9 weeks, students will have created their own portfolios.
To provide a high instructor to student ratio and to provide a very engaging experience, we are limited to a maximum of 12 children in the Zen Maker Club. Registration priority will be given to students at Sherwood Park. If there are extra spots available then kids from the community will be eligible to register.
We have different projects and curriculum based on the experience of the participants.
Zen Maker Lab will provide tablets/iPads and all material required. Registration includes all supply costs.
