We just announced our Fall 2019 program and registration is now available!

Zen Maker Lab is proud to offer an advanced academy program for kids 10-15 at our headquarters in beautiful North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Our address is 276 East 1st Street, North Vancouver.

This is a great program for children and youth that want to build further on the skills learned from our Zen Maker Club, Spring and Summer camps and other programs or have a similar amount of experience or enthusiasm to learn. We find our program is equally of interest to both girls and boys and because we take a holistic approach (integrating science and engineering with art/design) we appeal to a broader group than the typical robotics or coding program demographic.

This program covers a variety of maker topics and students will enjoy real life access to highly specialized equipment and experienced industry instructors at our leading edge maker lab facility – aimed at stimulating tomorrow’s digital creators.

Participants will be working on a variety of activities and projects throughout the fall using electronics, laser cut and 3D printed pieces. Parents should budget approximately $45 per semester to go towards supply costs such as electronics parts.

Wednesdays – 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm – After School Program – Info and registration

Fridays – 12:30 pm to 2 pm – Home School Learner Program – Info and registration

Session sizes are kept to a maximum of ten participants per instructor to ensure everyone gets a lot of individual attention.

Access to extensive maker lab equipment

Our programs at our maker lab in North Vancouver includes access to 3D printers (ABS and PLA filament printers and a SLA printer), scanners, 3D design software, laser cutter, CNC mills & lathes, electronics benches, large format printing, vinyl cutters, laminators, AR/VR headsets and more. You won’t find this anywhere else on the North Shore and we are one of the first and leading maker spaces in the Lower Mainland and one of the first maker kids and youth programs in North America!
